Miltonduff Distillery is said to be situated on the original site of the Pluscarden Abbey's meal mill. You can find one of original stones from the Abbey at the site. Miltonduff Distillery was founded in 1824 by Andrew Peary and Robert Bain but had been operating illicitly for some time before this.
