About Grain Whisky:

Grain whisky is a type of whisky made from grains other than (or in addition to) malted barley, such as corn, wheat, or rye. Unlike single malt whisky, which is made exclusively from malted barley in pot stills, grain whisky is typically distilled in column stills, resulting in a lighter and smoother spirit with a higher alcohol content.

Grain whisky is often used in blended whiskies to provide a mellow base, but it can also be bottled as a single grain whisky, showcasing its unique character. Depending on the grain used and the aging process, it can have flavors ranging from sweet and creamy to spicy and nutty. Notable examples include Cameronbridge and Girvan.
