Light smoke, green bananas with caramel and leather.
Palate
Sweet vanilla with sea salted caramels. More light smoke with estery tropical fruits. Slightly medicinal edge with a coastal salinity. Complex and delicious.
Finish
Mouth filling and long, reminiscent of an aged spirit.

Islay Rum Barrel Aged showcases how Scotland's cool maritime climate allows rum to mature differently from those produced in tropical regions.
This expression has been rested in oak casks previously used to mature peaty Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky, resulting in a smoky influence alongside notes of vanilla and coastal salinity drawn directly from the cask and environment.
