About Littlemill Distillery:
Littlemill is known to be Scotland's oldest licensed distillery and while it's unclear when distilling started on the site it was granted the first ever license by the government of Kind George the 3rd on the 2nd of November 1773. The distillery was closed in 1994 for the last time and dismantled in 1997. The remnants of the distillery were destroyed in a fire in 2004 and now a housing devlopment has been built on the site.
