Aberfeldy’s 125th Anniversary Edition marks 125 years of whisky production at the distillery in the Central Highlands, located on the banks of the River Tay. This 25 Year Old expression showcases the distillery’s spirit following an extended maturation in a combination of refill hogsheads and refill butts.
After more than two decades in refill casks, the whisky was given a further maturation of over one year in first-fill Oloroso sherry casks. This additional period in sherry wood adds further depth and richness to the mature Highland single malt, while complementing Aberfeldy’s naturally honeyed and fruit-led character. Bottled at 46% ABV, this limited anniversary release was created to commemorate the distillery’s 125th year.
