Aberlour whisky was born in the speyside village of Aberlour, made with local spring water from the Ben Rinnes and barley, now locally sourced from the fields near their distillery.
They mature this single malt in two different casks: American oak and European oak before fully finishing it in first fill Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso sherry casks to add depth and richness.
For this 18 Year Old, their craftsmen bring the spirits in both casks together before fully finishing them in first fill Pedro Xemenez and Oloroso sheery casks for the right amount of time. This is an art, not a science, to achieve just the right balance of depth and flavour.

Colour: Auburn Gold
