anCnoc Blas

A new range from anCnoc, a distillery like no other, traditional production methods are used to craft a curiously modern single malt.
Paying homage to this, anCnoc has teamed up with award winning fashion designer Patrick Grant to produce a limited edition release that celebrates these time honoured methods. Born in Scotland, wedded to his craft and appreciating a fine whisky as much as the cut of a great suit, Patrick has produced a design that embodies everything that embodies everything anCnoc represents.

Blas is the Scottish Gaelic word for taste.

It is also bottled at 54%

Tasting notes:
Colour - Golden honey.
Nose - Densely sweet and fruity with notes of lemon and candied orange peel. Tones of bitter chocolate and vanilla add complexity and weight.
Taste - Full bodied and oily, the initial burst of warm lemon tart is followed by notes of rum raisins and dark chocolate. A hint of freshly cut grass adds freshness and balance.
Finish - long and satisfying with a bitter-sweet cocoa aftertaste.
