The Tasting Notes
On the nose, Islay's untamed coastline collides with its peaceful woodland. Curiously fresh aromas of briny sea spray flow into toasted pine nuts and walnuts. As peat smoke begins to surface, freshly baked rye bread and viennese coffee come to the fore.
An intense peppery mouthfeel drifts into notes of treacle and leather. Smoked tea, coffee grounds and a hint of coal tar give way to a gentle, oily sweetness.
Dates, ginger and walnuts with a smokiness throughout.
