Ardnamurchan 2017 8 Year Old, Finn Thomson Cask #514

In September 2023 Finn Thomson was lucky enough to be invited to Ardnamurchan Distillery for a day of learning about the distillery and better yet, touring the warehouses and sampling direct from thje casks.

As an independent bottler, it is actually incredibly rare to have this level of access to the casks that they purchase, instead often buying from a list and undertaking the assesment of samples after a purchase. This 8 year old peated bourbon cask was his favourite of the day, the perfect balance of earthy peat and soft fruit with not too much cask influence so that it really shows the true nature of the Ardnamurchan spirit.
