Arran The Cóte-Rótie Cask (Guest) Finish

Their Guest Wine Finish for 2019 is something very special. Last year they were lucky enough to source some excellent casks from a respected producer of Côte-Rôtie red wine from the Rhône Valley in France. Their Arran Single Malt has been finished in these casks for approx. 7 months and the resulting Single Malt is complex and bursting with flavour, adding a new dimension to their original spirit.

Tasting Notes:
Colour: Pale Ruby
Nose: Spicy dark fruits, cherry and parma violets.
Palate: Chocolate, fig and plums are underwritten by smoked oak, balanced well by the light citrus nature of the Arran Malt.
Finish: The Côte-Rôtie expression is smooth and rich, leaving memory of candied fruit and smoked pepper. A beautifully complex dram which highlights an ideal paring between the Côte-Rôtie cask and the Arran Malt.
