Auchentoshan Virgin Oak Batch 2

The triple distilled Auchentoshan Virgin Oak Batch 2 - Limited release.

Since the millennium Auchentoshan have been placing small batches of the unique triple distilled spirit into North American Oak. As the name suggests, Auchentoshans is the first spirit to be matured in this wood, the charry surfaces are untouched by bourbon or sherry.

Challenge accepted - Scotch whisky does not need to be matured in ex-bourbon or sherry casks.
Layer upon layer of Auchentoshan Complexity.

Colour - Deep sienna orange.
Nose - Marzipan and honeyed nougat, toasted vanilla, caramel and cotton candy.
palate - Remarkably smooth and deep with caramel, chocolate cream, spiced orange and maple syrup.
Finish - Warm with bourbon vanilla, maple candy and sweet molasses.
