The Tasting Notes
Nose
The nose has rum & raisin, melted milk chocolate, hazelnuts and peanut brittle, with touches of plummy fruitiness, liquorice and orange peel.
Palate
The palate is full of treacle toffee, Daim bar and peanut M&Ms.
Finish
slightly scorched caramel, with toffee and a drop of Cointreau in the finish.
Details
This is a rich dram, fully matured in lovely oloroso, with a dark sweetness that keeps it from ever being cloying. Proper fireside stuff! This oloroso sherry hogshead produced only 255 bottles at a cask strength of 58.4%
