Distilled back in 1990, and bottled 2021.

Notes from Duncan Taylor Pre-Octave (ie before it was put into Octave cask):
Colour - Young Sauternes.
Nose - Lemon zest with a light pepperiness. Fresh cut grass and spring blossom enveloped in a light toffeee coating.
Palate - More citrus zestiness and white pepper, orange cream and heathery notes, Crisp and full mouth feel.
Finish - Touch of oak and the citrus notes persist.

This release (after Octave):
Colour - Copper.
Nose - Dark chocolate, full of dried fruits and honey, prunes, and raisins. Old sweet madeira wine, Christmas cake and walnuts.
Palate - Sherry notes from the nose continue very strongly on the palate but slightly drier, complex, and nicely rounded, a pinch of pipe tobacco, a complete classic sherried Speysider.
Finish - Long, and follows the same flavour profile as the palate, softly spicy with some cloves in the aftertaste.
