Bottled in 2014, this is the first release of the 1983 Vintage (there was also a 2013 bottling of this 'first release). Launched to replace the 2nd release of the 1975 Vintage.
Matured in American oak ex-bourbon barrels, it is a rich, warm dram, combining all the fantastic Balblair characteristics.
Tasting notes.
Colour - Rich and golden.
Nose - Butterscotch, toffee and vanilla.
Palate - Sweet and spice, with overtones of fresh fruits and honey.
Finish - Long and warming - full bodied.
Distilled at Balblair Distillery 1983 and bottled 2014.
