The Tasting Notes
On the nose the PX character is very evident with raisins, sultanas to the fore. More of a Dundee Cake rather than Christmas cake however.
The palate evokes further culinary flavours with a beautiful cocoa powder character mixing with the dried fruits to provide an amazingly mature taste experience that definitely belies its 10 years of age.

Ballindalloch are proud to introduce the Distillery Exclusive Engraved 2014, drawn from Cask 61, a Sherry Hogshead filled on 23/10/14 and bottled at natural cask strength on 21/04/25, yielding just 300 bottles.
This exclusive release is presented at a robust 59.1% ABV, with no chill filtration and no added colour, capturing the spirit of Ballindalloch in its purest form. The whisky has matured for over a decade in a single Sherry Hogshead, developing rich depth and complexity.
Expect a luscious, full-bodied dram with indulgent notes typical of sherry cask maturation.
This is a fantastic dram and definitely one of the best whiskies we've tried this year.
