Balmenach 1989 30 Year Old, Old & Rare
Hunter Laing & Co. Ltd proudly offer this fine example of the distiller's art as a special selection from their oldest stocks of whisky. No water has been added to reduce its strength, as the angels' share has already taken care of that. No caramel is added, so that you can see its pure and natural colour. They have chosen to bottle this malt without chill-filtration in the old fashioned and traditional style. By doing so, they leave in all the distiller's preferred qualities apparent on the nose, palate and finish which is self-evident when you remove the cork.
One of only 348 bottles available world wide from a refill hogshead.
Distilled: April 1989
Bottled: October 2019
Tasting Notes:
This pale gold whisky has a fresh nose of guava, honey, and newly-cut hay. The palate is sweet and herbal with notes of oranges, grass and lemon zest. The finish is medium length, with a touch of white pepper.
