Big Peat 26 Year Old
This rare Big Peat bottling carries only the finest selected gems of malt whiskies from the Isle of Islay, aged to an absolute minimum of 26 years. Its platinum covered livery reflects the appropriate rare metal to commemorate Douglas Laing's 70th year since it was founded, in 1948.
This individually-numbered bottle will transport you to Big Peat's Islay home. Detect his more mature side with a nose carrying dulcetly smoky barbequed meat, leading to an initially sweet and salty palate, with later coal dust and peat; all neatly encapsulated into the long finish.
This second chapter in a Big Peat trilogy series - contains single malt whiskies specially chosen by father and daughter duo Fred and Cara Laing. Together, they have carefully married their favourite aged malts, resulting in this characterful and magical 26 years old "vatted" malt.
