Black Bull 50 Years Old, Sir Nick Faldo Collection

The family owned Scotch Whisky specialist, Duncan Taylor, was established as a broker and trading company in 1938.

More than 80 years after the company was first registered, Duncan Taylor is recognised on the global stage as one of the most innovative and dynamic whisky companies. The company's devotion to the principles of providing exceptional casks for filling has been a key feature of its history and the outstanding portfolio of only the finest Scotch whiskies available.

Black Bull 50 Year Old is limited to six hundred bottles and the casks were hand selected by Sir Nick Faldo, and blended by the Chairman of Black Bull Co, Euan C. Shand.

This fine blend features malts from ghost distilleries and others from highly reputable distilleries, all of which are fifty years or older. The grains are some of the oldest and well known grain distilleries in Scotland.

Matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks, Black Bull 50 Year Old is indicative of the qualities these seasoned casks possess, along with the characteristics of the distillate.

Tasting notes:
Colour: Copper

Nose: Damsons, chocolate covered cherries, caramel, cedarwood, Mediterranean flowers and blossom honey. Caramelised orange peel.

Palate: Mouthcoating citrus notes, maple syrup on a stack of pancakes, lightly dusted with icing sugar, and a touch of cinnamon and spicy warmth.

Finish: Long-lasting with a perfect balance of fruit, spice and toasted oak.
