Bruichladdich 2003 22 Year Old, Little Brown Dog

This barrel was part of a 4 cask parcel, Little Brown Dog bought the entire parcel purely to get this cask. It is an absolute stunner. They’ve tried many private cask Bruichladdichs but few have the depth, texture and immense character of this one. They were immediately smitten. Genuinely upsetting for them that they only have 140 bottles to share globally as this one deserves to be tasted.

They’ve done something slightly different with bottling this one, switching to a 20 micron filter rather than the standard finer filters. They did this to give as close to a raw direct from the cask experience for their customers. The texture of this cask is exceptional and the wider filter helps preserve this. As a result, expect some very fine cask char sediment to settle but we think this only adds to the experience.
