The 5th Release, incarnation, manifesation, embodiment of Black Art.
Distilled back in 1989 and aged for 21 Years - Unpeated.
The second release showcasting the spellbinding craft of head distiller , Jim McEwan. Another rare beguiling and complex spirit. A mystery of distiller and coppers art. Indeed a work of alchemy with dark secrets of which Jim will not reveal.
Bruichladdich Tasting notes:
Nose - An opening bouquet of cherry blossom and deep red rose gives way to a rainbow of soft ripe red fruits; redcurrant, loganberry, damson, apricot and blackberry crystallised with soft brown sugar. A sensational opening for the toasted oak and sweet malted barley, which give structure and strength.
Palate - An opening bouquet of cherry blossom and deep red rose gives way to a rainbow of soft ripe red fruits; redcurrant, loganberry, damson, apricot and blackberry crystallised with soft brown sugar. A sensational opening for the toasted oak and sweet malted barley, which give structure and strength.
Finish - A manifestation of single malt joy!
