Bunnahabhain 2008 11 Year Old, Provenance

Douglas Laing’s Provenance Single Malts are bottled exactly as the distiller intended – without colouring and without chill filtration, so that the naturally present oils, fats and enzymes in the Whisky are allowed to make their own special contribution to the nose, mouthfeel, palate and finish. This particular expression from the Bunnahabhain Distillery has spent 11 years maturing in one Refill Sherry Butt.

Tasting Notes:
Nose: Smoky bacon, orchard fruits, sea air, Scottishstrawberry jam and orange marmalade.
Palate: Rich and fulsome with a gentle smoked quality, light spice and ripe blackberries.
Finish: Medium-long with maritime and oceanic qualities, sweet fruit and sugared barley.
