Nose: Exceptionally herbal, fresh, littoral and pelagic.
Palate: Immediately mouth-puckeringly salted, before warming spices and a certain dry oakiness appears ahead of the ash.
Finish: Long and spicy, cough drop style, with a hint of tar and a drift of smoke.
Distilled at Caol Ila, and bottled by Douglas Laing.
