This 2011 Caol Ila is a single cask bottling for Douglas Laing's Old Particular range of whisky.
Distilled February 2011.

Nose - Immediately there's a big smoky bacon crisps hit with coal dust and washed-up seaweed.
Palate - Thick and oily and so Islay in style with chimney smoke, autumn bonfires and peated barley.
Finish - Long - more of that big peat character but balanced by an underlying treacle toffee sweetness.
