Caol Ila 2011 6YO Provenance Coastal Collection III

Douglas Laing’s Provenance Single Malts are bottled exactly as the distiller intended – without colouring and without chill filtration, so that the naturally present oils, fats and enzymes in the Whisky are allowed to make their own special contribution to the nose, mouthfeel, palate and finish.

Tasting notes:
The nose opens big and abundantly sweet, with loads of Islay peat evident. The Palate mouth coats in dulcet style with soot, ash and coal dust all evident. These flavours all come through on the finish, plus later tar and iodine.

This limited edition Provenance expression was distilled at the Caol Ila Distillery and matured for 6 years.
