From their unrivaled cask stocks, this very rare single malt scotch whisky has been specially chosen to meed the exacting criteria of their selection panel. Cheiftain's - an exceptional range of single malts.
The new 2019 edition of the Cigar Malt was selected from a wide variety of distillery casks. This top class, full-bodied single malt, distilled on 5th March 1997, in the heart of Speyside, was matured for 22 years in a first fill Oloroso sherry cask.
Their expert nosing panel chose this particular cask for its complex body and structure, seen as the perfect balance and character to accompany a full bodied cigar. It was decided that this cask should be bottled at its natural cask strength of 55.7%. this accentuates the perfect balance between the spicy, rich chocolate toffee and fruity character of the whisky with the power of the alcohol and the cigars. Like all Chieftain's, The Cigar Malt is bottles at natural color with no chill-filtration to enhance all the flavours of the whisky.
