The Tasting Notes
Mild in feel, dry and slightly cooling, while a delightful fruitiness opens the aromas. The top notes are reminiscent of a tropical fruit salad, led by lychees and mangosteens, backed by pineapple and melon.
A creamy-smooth texture evokes Clynelish’s familiar keynote waxiness, while the taste starts lightly sweet and slightly sharp, with a lazy, sunny tropical fruit character that is nicely integrated.
Medium to long, finishing spicy and warming, with a lingering, freshly fruity aftertaste. With a dash of water, sweeter and now more lightly spicy.

The signature character of Clynelish Distillery is imbued with a sweet, tropical vibrancy from a unique experiment, in which a cut of the liquid is drawn early in the distillation process, when tropical flavour notes are prevalent. We call this the ‘Pineapple Cut’.
Matured for at least 18 years in refill casks, notes of lush, ripe pineapple enliven the taste of wax and honey. Experience the feeling of that perfect place in the sun.
In brief this is an intriguing example of the make which highlights Clynelish’s tropical fruit character. The refill casks have allowed this aspect of the spirit character to shine through.
