This gift set includes one bottle of Compass Box Spice Tree and two whisky glasses with the spice tree printed on them.
The Spice Tree is a rich, intense Scotch malt whisky redolent of baking spices and layered with toasty oak accents.
The richness comes from finishing much of the whisky in custom-made new French oak casks - their original methods for achieving this intensity were outlawed. It's a bold composition, for those with a healthy scepticism for the rules.
Rounder than the crackly sweetness of bourbon, but punchier than Sherry-matured Scotch whiskies, The Spice Tree is great after-dinner sipping, as an accompaniment to cheese, chocolate or spiced cakes.
