Notes from Duncan Taylor PRE Octave (ie before it was put into Octave cask): Vanilla pods, cream, red fruits, clean, nutty.
This release:
We're definitely getting pear drops, and heather honey, but also apples and other fruits, the finish is still a candy shop flavour, with pepper, candied peel and fresh oak.
