Diplomatico 2001 Single Vintage Rum

This single vintage rum is the result of a careful selection of reserves, laid down by Distilerias Unidas in the year 2001. That year a number of factors contributed to rare climatic conditions for sugar cane growth. Following one of the best sugar cane harvests in Venezuelan history, diplomatico decided to release a single vintage rum from the year 2001, the first to ever be exported.

This 2001 vintage rum has been finished in Sherry Casks.

The Diplomatico Distillery lies at the foot of the Andes mountains in Venezuala, with its location carefully selected to be in close proximity to the main sugar processing plants in the area and the nearby Terepaima National park, which provides the purest of waters for the rums' production.
