Details
Pale straw gold with a hint of green at the rim, this Sancerre is a pristine reflection of its famed terroir. Aromas of honeysuckle, Meyer lemon, and wet stone lead into a palate that adds gooseberry, flint, and a subtle herbal edge. The structure is elegant and focused, making Fournier’s Les Belles Vignes Blanc a versatile Sancerre; bright and approachable now, yet capable of mellowing gracefully with a couple of years in the cellar.
Sancerre’s signature vibrancy and minerality shine best alongside light fare; think fresh oysters, delicate clams, mussels, or summery salads. It’s a natural partner for shellfish and simple, elegant dishes.
The Fournier family has been crafting wine in the region since the 1800s and has grown into one of Sancerre’s leading domaines. Les Belles Vignes is made entirely from estate-grown Sauvignon Blanc, sourced from vines over 20 years old rooted in limestone, clay, and flint soils. These elements contribute to the wine’s hallmark minerality. Aged on fine lees for added texture and complexity, it undergoes no malolactic fermentation, preserving its crisp, lively character.
