Details

Enigma 1 is cask number 355 distilled on 27th September 1989 and was matured all its life in a dunnage warehouse. The cask produced 498 bottles at a strength of 52.6% vol.

The Enigma bottlings show the extremes of maturation conditions. The damp wet dunnage warehouse yields less of a liquid loss but a far greater strength loss. The dry concrete warehouse yields a much higher liquid loss but retains a greater alcoholic strength. This truly is a remarkable enigma to celebrate their 200th anniversary.
