Although there is no distillery at Finlaggan Castle, this ancient home of the 'Lord of the Isles' lends its name to one of the islands finest malt whiskies.
Nose: Big breakfast fruitiness (old preserve, more like), plus nuts and chocolate. What a start.
Palate: Fat mouth arrival, more chocolate and . . . oh peat, lashings of it.
Finish: Back to fruit again, then a chocolate mousse, all interlocked by peat. Brilliant!
