Game of Thrones Single Malt Whisky Collection Full House Set

In celebration of the eighth and final season of the hit TV series Game of Thrones, DIAGEO and HBO are releasing a limited edition collection of single malt scotch whiskies inspired by the show. Each of these rare scotches is paired with one of the iconic Houses of Westeros, as well as the Night’s Watch, giving fans an authentic taste of the Seven Kingdoms and beyond.

Clynelish Reserve
Light gold on appearance and bursting with fresh tropical fruits like papaya and mango, this Single Malt slowly subsides into a rich, creamy vanilla character. The finish is deeply complex with subtle sweet, maritime notes that interplay with the delicate light floral essence which warms and builds on the palate, revealing the signature sweet Clynelish ‘waxyness’ lingering on the palate.

Cardhu Gold Reserve
The golden amber appearance is reinforced on the nose which delivers soft honeyed aromas with a gentle wisp of toasted oak. On the palate it opens with baked apple & warming baking spices like cinnamon and allspice that then quickly evolves into a rich caramel character with hints of clove, red apple and a gentle malty biscuit finish.

Singleton of Glendullan Select
The light straw shimmer of this liquid hints at the cask lineage of this Single Malt that is 100% ex-Bourbon casks; that’s confirmed by the heavy Madagascar vanilla opening on the nose followed by a suggestion of sweet, clove spice that develops over time. On the palate it’s initially driven by orchard fruits like apple; the clove returns but now with cinnamon as the palate develops. The finish moves away from citrus into a red berry compote with vanilla cheesecake and a pronounced cereal spice finish.

Oban Bay Reserve
Golden amber and slightly viscous as it forms and slowly tears down the side of the glass; this alludes to the mouth coating richness of the liquid. The initial sip confirms the richness with a wave of heavy, luxurious notes of Morello cherry pie and candied orange peel that burst open on the palate. The finish is long and rich as it drifts into wonderful crème caramel and a gentle wisp of charred oak.

Dalwhinnie Winter’s Frost
Light gold and bright on appearance, this Highland Single Malt is slowly matured in 100% ex-Bourbon casks. Produced at the highest altitude working distillery in Scotland, the cold climate helps to produce a unique floral, heather honey character that’s become synonymous with Dalwhinnie. Winter’s Frost gently opens on the palate with rich manuka honey served over fresh figs before it slowly develops on the palate into delicious malt balls and finally a rich fruit cake finish.

Royal Lochnagar 12 YO
The pale amber color of this Single Malt is light & delicate just like the aromas of this 12 year old Royal Lochnagar which delivers soft notes of oak before moving into hints of bananas foster with caramelized turbinado sugar. On the palate it’s sweet on the opening with layers of liquorice and rich, creamy vanilla coffee this then blends into a long finish with mild nutmeg and a creamy custard tart finish.

Talisker Select Reserve
The Golden copper color of the liquid of this Talisker is provided by the use of heavily charred, ex-Bourbon, American Oak casks. The nose is quintessentially Talisker with the signature notes of dry peppery smoke and dark chocolate. On the palate the flavor explodes with salted caramel and chili flakes with an underlying peppery smoke. The long, complex finish is layers of fruit cake and the dry spice of the pepper continues with a lasting hint of leather.

Lagavulin 9YO
Exclusively matured in 100% fresh ‘first fill’ ex-Bourbon casks lends a gorgeous light golden color to this Whisky. The nose is characteristically Lagavulin with the sweet smoke exploding on the nose providing a little more zesty, Maritime brine than the other expressions. The palate opens with sweet, smokey caramelized banana, burnt marshmallow and Vanilla which subsides into a light dry menthol and salted caramel finish.
