This year Little Brown Dog have been working on their biggest project to date. They love doing what they do and are proud of the reputation and following that they are growing as independent bottlers. They often explain the challenge of indie bottling is looking for individual casks with distinct character and how this is a different approach from producing repeatable batches of larger volumes of whisky. This year they have been working on a project that they call their Aberdeenshire Single Malt. Their own take on a core expression, a 12 year old Glen Garioch. Their cask management, their blending, their decisions.

Non chill filtered and natural colour

A vatting of 60% 1st fill bourbon and 40% sherry (PX and oloroso, refill and 1st fill).

Distinct in style from an original bottling of Glen Garioch, this will be their signature single malt and help bring what they do at LBD to a wider audience. Still with an absolute emphasis on quality and attention to detail but at a more accessible price point.

The final bottle design will have some LBD design DNA but also have it’s own look, distinct from the etched bottles of the LBD single casks and small batch releases. until then, here’s a page torn out of the LBD notebook for a label instead! Limited to 500 bottles worldwide. Each hand numbered, which Chris is already regretting agreeing to!
