GlenAllachie 11 Year Old Port Wood 2020 Release

This is the 2020 release

The GlenAllachie Wood Finish Series consists of signature expressions of our finest single malts. Their Master Distiller, Billy Walker, works with niche producers from around the world and sources small batches of outstanding casks that will complement the GlenAllachie spirit.

This gorgeous ruby red malt has been matured for over nine years in American Oak Barrels. It was then re-racked into Ruby Port Wood Pipes. The secondary maturation develops the flavour, depth and complexity and adds a vibrant, rich colour. Regular monitoring ensures they achieve the perfect balance between port and malt whilst preserving the whisky characteristics.

Tasting Notes:

COLOUR: Ruby Red.

NOSE: Waves of ripe fruit and sweet spice, with notes of dark chocolate and roses.

TASTE: A fusion of plums, damsons, strawberries, rosehips and dark chocolate.
