This is the 5th release, of the highly regarded 10 year old cask strength release from GlenAllachie
Bottled at 55.9%, the GlenAllachie Cask Strength Batch 5 is a combination of PX and Oloroso sherry puncheons, along with a small quantity of Virgin Oak and Rioja casks.
They achieve a perfect balance of tangy orange, dark chocolate and sweet spice with underlying classic GlenAllachie honeyed notes.
Official Tasting Notes:
COLOUR: Rich Mahogany.
NOSE: Lashings of heather honey, dark chocolate and mocha, with almonds, cinnamon and orange peel.
TASTE: Waves of dark chocolate, raisins, treacle, almonds and heather honey, with orange zest, cinnamon and nutmeg on the finish.
