Glenlivet 1974 28 Year Old, Misson Series 1
28 Years Old
First Fill American Oak
One of only 600 bottles made available worldwide
Colour: Harvest Gold
Body: Full and Beautifully Structured.
Nose: Wonderful floral notes together with candied almonds, barley sugar, soft peach, pear and kiwi, with a hint of pineapple. It is serenely Speyside, the malty digestive biscuit aroma together with nutty oakiness brings balance and complexity. Give it time to open and your patience will be rewarded. Olfactory overdrive from one of Scotland's finest spirits.
Palate: The harmony between the fruit and oak is awesome. The taste buds are caressed by the marshmallow softness of the spirit. The sweet malt is more apparent as is the richness of the oak. The fruity flavours are more of an undercurrent. One of the best from one of the best.
Finish: A sensational experience, the taste simply lingers for hours and hours. Exquisite.
