Glentauchers distillery is improving its image over time. The Distillery Labels 1994 Gordon & MacPhail edition received 96.5 points in Jim Murray's Whisky Bible.
This edition was distilled 1996.
Bottled - 2015.
Official tasting notes:
Colour - Dark Gold
Nose - Light Sherry influences with stewed apple and andied fruit aromas. Rich praline chocolate and toasted hazelnut notes develop.
Palate - Chilli spice initially with red apple, orange peel and dark chocolate flavous. A delicate liquorice edge develops.
Finish - Medium with a rich chocolate edge.
1st Fill Sherry Butts.
