Established in 1973 by second master blender Keizo Saji, the Hakushu Distillery lives deep within the forests at the foot of the Japanese Southern Alps. The whiskies born at Hakushu Distillery are made from water with a rare softness, only possible by slow filtration through ancient granite. Maturing in a lush, forested microclimate, Hakushu's renowned single malt Japanese whiskies are blessed by the regions ever-changing seasons - each leaving their own verdant signature.
Tasting notes:

Nose: Ripe pear, dried mint, oregano, hint of smoke.
Palate: Jasmine, mango, quince, menthol.
Finish: Long, pleasantly smoked, hint of bitterness.
