Made from a blend of 100% malt whiskies aged for at least 5 years, this new release is further aged for 12 years in old American Oak casks before being finished in bespoke barrels that previously held superior Umeshu liqueur for an additional 6 months.
The result, a perfectly balanced whisky providing subtle accents of sweet Japanese plum. No added colour and non-chill filtered. Hatozaki 12YO Umeshu finish is designed to be enjoyed neat or on the rocks to appreciate the intense plum aromas from the Umeshu cask ageing, or in a highball for a light and refreshing serve.
