Imperial 32YO Director's Special Single Malts of Scotland
Details
Only exceptional whiskies are selected by their director to be bottled for this exclusive series from The Single Malts of Scotland. Each bottling is aged to perfection, celebrating both the classic characteristics of the distillery and the subtle changes created by time and oak.
Only 125 bottles were produced from a single cask of Imperial Single Malt Scotch Whisky, which was aged for more than 32 years.
Tasting notes:
Nose: Crisp, green Granny Smith apples greet us immediately. This is followed up by a smattering of desiccated coconut and delectable toasted marshmallow.
Palate: A selection of orchard fruits develops on the palate - more green apples and juicy pears bring a bouquet of freshness. This continues into fruity confectionary, with a plate of apple turnovers served on a sunny afternoon.
Finish: Some heat remains, in the form of black pepper and a hint of chili spice, to make for a memorable end to a delicious dram.
