Cask #804137, Virgin Oak Barrel
One of 255 Bottles.
Official Tasting Notes:
Colour: Golden straw.
Nose: Coconut toasties, caramelised oak and Battenburg cake, with that familiar and welcome aldehydic aroma of single grain whisky.
Taste: The lengthy period in wood sees any industrial grain notes dissipate, evolving into a very soft and approachable dram. Coconut marzipan sponge cake and almond praline from the grain: the virgin oak brings butterscotch and honey to the party - a lovely combination.
