True to Ian Maclouds recipe, Isle Of Skye contains an exceptionally high proportion of distinctive island and mellow speyside malts. matured for eighteen years in oak casks, before being blended together and left to 'marry', the result a deliciously smooth whisky of renowned quality and remarkable character.
Tasting notes..
Colour - Shining gold.
Nose - Enticing coastal air with gooseberry, cinnamon bread and gentle peat; underlying lime, chilli, and black pepper.
Palate - Gentle smoke present from the start with a fresh fruitiness that balances wonderfully with building toffee notes.
Finish - Peat slowly fades with malt and dark chocolate.
