The 5th Edition (2015) of this ever popular dram, is a from ex-bourbon barrels filled in 2009 and 2010. The 100% Islay range is only lightly peated compared to Machir Bay and Loch Gorm.
Followers of Kilchoman will enjoy this latest Edition of the 100% Islay, the added maturation time compared to previous releases has given the whisky added depth and balance, expect it to be a hit.
It's also at a slightly higher ABV - 50%.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Light, fresh and clean with peat smoke in the background.
Palate: Light, fresh and well balanced with peaty smoke and sweetness coming through on the finish.
Finish: Long, clean and sweet with soft peat smoke.
