Details
After the success of Machir Bay Cask Strength, Kilchoman thought it was time that everyone had a chance to taste Sanaig at its natural best as well! This vatting uses the same recipe as their regular Sanaig bottling however, rather than reducing the strength to 46% abv, they have released a limited number of bottles at cask strength; 57.8% abv.
Sanaig is a combination of both oloroso sherry hogshead finishes and fully matured casks. We source all our sherry casks from Bodega José y Miguel Martín and the consistency of these casks is really highlighted at the higher strength. Sanaig at cask strength has an incredible combination of rich peat smoke and sweet cooked fruits with a deep long lasting glutinous finish.
