Each year Distillery manager, John Campbell, crafts a limited edition malt to celebrate the friends of Laphroaig and friendship Càirdeas 2019 showcases a special triple maturation, first maturing in ex-bourbon barrels, second maturation in quater casks and then a third maturation in European oak casks previously used for oloroso sherry.
