Linkwood 2010 12 Year Old, Tri Carragh Single Cask
A surprising showstopper. Interesting and complex, they couldn’t help but try it over and over. It’s a treat to behold a dram that changes so much from initial nose to finish. 12 years well spent in this wood.

Tasting notes:
Nose: A wonderful nose full of fruit and sweetness, toffee apple, honeydew melon, vanilla fudge, pear, pineapple along with notes of cinnamon, polished furniture, leather in an old library. With water, the same fruits come through along with blood orange, demerara sugar, burnt marmalade, dark chocolate and a sweet earthiness like sugar snap pees.
Taste: Viscous, dark fruits; blackberries, blackcurrants, raspberries. Cherries and spiced plums. Spicy notes of chilli flakes, cloves, cinnamon also appear. With water more tropical fruit flavours join the explosion of flavour along with Victoria Sponge cake with icing, roasted caramel nuts and a peppery grape skin and treacle finish.
