Following the positive reception of Little Brown Dog’s Aberdeenshire Single Malt, this limited release offers the whisky at cask strength. Just 500 bottles have been produced, each individually hand numbered and presented with the black notebook label.
The batch was vatted from refill Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso puncheons, giving it a slightly more sherried character than the previous release. The bottling strength also reflects the use of casks that were, in many cases, considerably older than 12 years. Unlike last year’s pre-production preview, there are currently no plans for a follow-up core cask strength expression.
