Littlemill 1988 30 Year Old, Old & Rare
Hunter Laing & Co. Ltd proudly offer this fine example of the distiller's art as a special selection from their oldest stocks of whisky. No water has been added to reduce its strength, as the angels' share has already taken care of that. No caramel is added, so that you can see its pure and natural colour. They have chosen to bottle this malt without chill-filtration in the old fashioned and traditional style. By doing so, they leave in all the distiller's preferred qualities apparent on the nose, palate and finish which is self-evident when you remove the cork.
One of only 243 bottles available world wide from a refill hogshead.
Distilled: November 1988
Bottled: August 2019
Tasting Notes:
This golden coloured malt whisky opens with pineapples and honey on the nose. Beautifully intermingled with vanilla and the faintest hint of chocolate orange. More fruits - pineapple, orange and now apples come through on the palate drenched in caramel sauce and sprinkled with brown sugar. Finishes long, sweet, soft and satisfying. A wonderful example of this lowland malt.
