Mannochmore 12YO, The Ghost Piper of Clanyard Bay, Fable Chapter 5, Bottling 2
Their first fable instalment delves into the legend of ‘The Ghost Piper of Clanyard Bay’, a story hailing from the South West Coast of Scotland, close to Stranraer. They collaborated with artist Hugo Cuellar to create an enchanted world, from which label illustrations highlighting characters and scenes form a set of eleven Chapters.
This release from Mannochmore Distillery is from the second instalment in 'The Ghost Piper of Clanyard Bay' series.

Tasting notes:
Nose: Ripe pear, honeydew melon, fine oak flavour. Ripened strawberries mixed with white grapes. Obvious aromas of pear, honey, herb garden.
Taste: Mango and pear storms forward followed by oak flavour. Very full-oily mouthfeel, the strawberry grape comes back, oily-crisp. A little forest honey. Candle wax mouthfeel green, fruit. With water added - less toasted oak notes, bright green exotic fruit salad, fresh bread, very buttery.
Finish: An elegant expression from Mannochmore, even at 55% the honey-pear-mango essence with the most pleasant toasted oak notes. Fruit salad, long – medium finish very slightly astringent, spicy oak, fresh mint, creamy banana.
